Beginning June 1, WE’RE OPEN!

Welcome back, we’re so excited to see you!

  • June 1 – 5 – open to Zoo members only.
  • June 6 – Zoo is open for all.
Here’s What You Need to Know

To ensure the safety of our guests and staff, modifications have been put in place to comply with State and County health recommendations. The number of guests entering the Zoo each day will be restricted through the purchase of timed tickets, in order to ensure proper distancing.

Please read the below information carefully.

All Zoo visits now require a timed ticket.
  • To limit the amount of guests visiting the Zoo at any one time, we are temporarily requiring all guests to have a timed ticket reserved for each person in their party.
  • You will need to reserve these timed tickets ONLINE prior to your visit.
  • Reserved tickets also apply to Zoo members. Upon entry, your membership card and photo ID, along with your timed ticket(s) will be checked.

– An email confirmation will be sent to you with your tickets.
– Tickets will be scanned at the gate, off your phone.
– Last ticket timeslot sold at 4 p.m., daily.
– All ticket purchases and reservations will be done online.
– Ticket purchasing for timeslots is available until sold out.
– Senior discounts apply, but no other discounts (group, military, etc.) are available during this time.
– Guest Services will be operating at a limited capacity to assist with membership and ticketing issues only.

Visit Guidelines & Details**

  • There is no off-site parking.
  • Face coverings are highly recommended for everybody visiting the Zoo. (To be in compliance with state and local officials’ requests, guests are strongly encouraged to wear a face covering while visiting the Zoo.)
  • Please do your best to maintain safe social distancing practices by maintaining at least six(6) feet between non-family groups during your Zoo visit.
  • All guests are to enter through the main entrance. There will be entry two lines: one for the current timeslot, the other for the next timeslot.
  • If you arrive early for your timeslot, you need to wait in your car. Early or late arrivals will NOT be accommodated.
  • There will be no re-entry. Please make sure that you have everything with you before entering the Zoo.
  • Paper maps will not be distributed, instead guests will be directed to an online Zoo map (LINKED).
  • Wherever possible and in most places, traffic flow through buildings will be in one door and out another.
  • Select exhibit buildings will be open, but monitored to ensure capacity limit requirements are met.
  • The carousel, ‘crashed airplane’ play space and select indoor exhibits are closed. This is temporary and we expect these attractions to open at a later date.
  • The guest shuttle, Sky Ride and Shrine are open with appropriate social distancing modifications in place.
  • Closed and/or monitored capacity areas in and around the Zoo will be clearly defined with signage. Please understand there are temporary limitations and modifications put in place that may change the way you are used to experiencing the Zoo.
  • Quarters for Conservation tokens will be available and sanitized daily before given to guests.
  • Animal Demos may or may not be available, or may be operating on a limited capacity or at an alternate location.
  • Limited food service areas are available. Grizzly Grill will be open with spaced seating inside and outside. The Overlook will be open for outdoor seating only (no food service). The Cozy Goat may be open on a limited basis. The upper Sky Ride Mountaineer Market is closed. Food service staff will enforce strict food preparation and social distancing standards.
  • Thundergod Gift Shop is open with guest capacity monitoring and a one-way traffic flow.
  • Look for increased handwashing stations throughout the Zoo, as indicated on the revised XXXXXXXXXXX Zoo Map.
  • ADA accessibility – If you are in a wheelchair or have mobility issues, please contact Guest Services for any assistance (PHONE &/OR EMAIL).

**PLEASE NOTE: The above precautions are TEMPORARY and will be lifted once it is safe to do so. Details are subject to change at any time. Please be patient with us as we try to best accommodate guest needs and state directives.**

A Big Thank You to Our Community – We Appreciate Your Patience and Support.
